Rain in 14 states, heat wave havoc in Delhi-UP, thunderstorm and lightning alert in Bihar

It is extremely hot these days in North India. People are very worried. The good news amid this heat is that the Meteorological Department has expressed hope for relief. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of light to heavy rain in 14 states of the country within the next 12 hours. Strong winds will also blow along with the rain. The speed of winds can reach 70 kilometers per hour. There is also a possibility of lightning in these areas. According to the Meteorological Department, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Northeast India and adjoining eastern areas may receive heavy to very heavy rain for several days throughout the week. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall at some places.

Big update of monsoon

The weather department has also given good news regarding monsoon. Monsoon is going to advance in the next 3-4 days. Good conditions are being created for the spread of monsoon over the rest of the South-East Arabian Sea, South-West Bay of Bengal, South-East Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea and East-Central Bay of Bengal. Due to this, rain activities will increase further in many parts of South India and North-East India. Currently, the effect of monsoon is clearly visible in South Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea and East-Central Bay of Bengal. Kerala, Tamil Nadu, southern parts of Karnataka and north-eastern states are receiving good rainfall due to monsoon.

Weather in Delhi

It is very hot in the capital Delhi right now. People are facing a lot of problems. The Meteorological Department has warned of severe heat wave for the next three days (22 to 24 May). During this period the temperature can go up to 46 degrees Celsius. Hot winds will also blow at a speed of 45 kilometers per hour. An alert has also been issued for hot nights till May 24. There will be no respite from the heat even at night.

Weather in Uttar Pradesh

The heat wave is very severe in Uttar Pradesh also. Banda district remained the hottest place in the country. The temperature here reached 48 degrees Celsius on Thursday. The Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave alert in the entire state from May 22 to May 27. There will be heat wave in both eastern and western parts. The temperature in Lucknow, Prayagraj and Varanasi can reach 45 degrees. There is a danger of severe heatwave in districts like Kanpur and Banda.

Weather in Bihar

There is an alert of storm and rain in Bihar for three days (22 to 24 May). During this period, strong winds can blow at a speed of 50 to 70 kilometers per hour. There will be rain with thunder at many places. Heat wave may last till May 24 in some areas. There is a possibility of thunderstorm along with heat in Patna. There is a possibility of lightning along with rain in Purnia, Muzaffarpur and Bhagalpur. There will be heat and humidity (humid heat) in Gaya.

Weather in Rajasthan

Dust storm and rain with thunderstorms are expected in western parts of Rajasthan. There will be a very strong heat wave in many areas between 25th and 27th May. Hot winds in Jaipur, dust storm in Jodhpur, while there is an alert of severe heat in Bikaner, Jaisalmer and Kota.

Weather of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand

The weather is about to change in Himachal Pradesh. There may be rain and thundershowers in Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala and Mandi today. Hail may also fall. There is a possibility of light rain in Shimla and thunderstorm and lightning in Manali. An alert of rain with thunder and lightning has been issued in Uttarakhand on 22 and 23 May. Hail may also occur in some hilly areas. There is a possibility of light rain with strong winds in Dehradun, Nainital, Pithoragarh and Uttarkashi.
