Saharanpur Protest Proves Costly Fir Registered Against Sp Mp Iqra Hasan Under Serious Sections

An FIR has been registered against Samajwadi Party MP Iqra Hasan under serious sections in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The police have taken this action in connection with the protest by supporters outside the DIG office two days ago and blocking the road. Apart from Iqra Hasan, seven named and 25 unidentified people have also been made accused in this case.

According to the information, a complaint was given by the Civil Line outpost in-charge at Sadar Bazar police station in Saharanpur, on the basis of which a case was registered. Police have alleged that during the protest and demonstration, the road was blocked and government work was disrupted.

Along with Iqra Hasan, names of former ministers Mangeram Kashyap, Sheeshpal, Satyapal, Anuj, Tejpal Singh and Ajay are also included in the FIR. Police say that a large number of supporters were present at the spot during the demonstration, due to which law and order was affected.

Actually, after a dispute in Saharanpur two days ago, Iqra Hasan had reached the DIG office with her supporters. There they started a protest and alleged that the police were not taking action on the complaints of the victim. During this period, a heated argument was also witnessed between the police officers and the MP.

According to eyewitnesses, traffic in the area was also affected for some time due to the protest. The police administration had tried to remove the protesters, but the situation remained tense. Later the matter was pacified.

However, no detailed official statement has yet come out from the Samajwadi Party on this FIR. Party leaders say that Iqra Hasan had reached the spot to raise the voice of the victims and the protest was being registered in a democratic manner.

The police administration says that maintaining law and order is their primary responsibility and no one can be allowed to block roads or obstruct government work. The police is now investigating the entire matter and the video and other evidence of the incident spot is also being scrutinized.

This matter now seems to be taking on a political colour, because the opposition is calling it an action to suppress the voice of the public, while the administration is calling it a matter related to law and order.
