Big gift from Yogi government! The biggest good news for the farmers of UP, now ₹ 5 lakh will come directly into their accounts.
A very wonderful and great relief news is coming for the farmer brothers of Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken another historic step keeping in mind the convenience of the farmers of the state and increasing transparency in government work. Giving momentum to CM Yogi’s dream of ‘Digital Uttar Pradesh’, a big decision has now been taken to make the state’s very popular ‘Chief Minister Farmer Accident Welfare Scheme’ completely digital i.e. online.
Lakhs of farmer families of Uttar Pradesh are going to get the direct and maximum benefit of this big technological change. Now, in case of any untoward incident or accident, there will be no need for farmer families to visit government offices and plead with their fathers. They will be able to avail the benefits of this scheme while sitting at home.
The work will be completed by February 2026, NIC is making a special portal
Yogi government has set a strict target to convert this entire welfare scheme into completely digital form by February 2026. The help of National Informatics Center (NIC) is being taken to implement this digital mission. NIC is currently preparing a very modern and secure web portal as well as a special software.
As soon as this new online system is operational, all the work from applying for the scheme to uploading the necessary documents, their verification by the officers and transferring the money directly to the bank account will be done online in a jiffy. This will not only save the precious time of the farmers, but will also get rid of the paperwork and unnecessary delays in files forever.
There will be a permanent check on hustle and corruption, status will be tracked through mobile.
According to the system implemented till now, even after applying online under this scheme, farmers had to face a lot of difficulties for physical verification. Farmers were extremely troubled due to making rounds at tehsil and district level. But after the implementation of the new digital system, farmers will be able to submit applications sitting at home through their own mobile phone or computer.
Along with this, farmers will also be able to track the real time status of their application online to know which officer their file is with currently. With this transparent system, the hustle and bustle of tehsil and district headquarters will be completely eliminated and the scope for corruption or bribery in government departments will also be eliminated to a great extent.
Know what is this scheme and how to get full Rs 5 lakh
Let us tell you that the ‘Mukhyamantri Krishak Accident Welfare Scheme’ launched by the Uttar Pradesh government in the year 2019 is a big security cover for the farmers. If a farmer dies untimely in an accident during farming or any other work or becomes permanently disabled, then in such a tragic situation, the government provides financial assistance to the victim’s family up to a maximum of Rs 5 lakh. This entire assistance amount is sent directly to the bank account of the beneficiary through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer), due to which there is no scope for any kind of brokerage in between and the help reaches the right hands at the right time.
Lucknow division was at the forefront in this matter, thousands of farmers got support
If we look at the latest report of the Revenue Council, by December 2025, the applications of more than 29 thousand farmers have been approved by giving green signal under this scheme in entire Uttar Pradesh. If we talk about the performance of different divisions, then Lucknow division remains at number one position in the entire state. Along with this, Gorakhpur, Ayodhya and Kanpur divisions are also among the divisions performing much better in terms of providing speedy benefits to the farmers. These government figures clearly testify to how helpful this scheme is proving to be for the farmers of Uttar Pradesh in times of crisis.
CM Yogi is strengthening farmers with technology
This new digital initiative is a great example of the visionary working style of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. CM Yogi is continuously engaged in directly empowering and self-reliant the general public, especially the farmers of rural areas, by using technology and digital mediums. The sole and clear objective of the Uttar Pradesh government is that no needy and eligible farmer of the state should be deprived of this financial assistance due to lack of information and the affected families should get maximum financial security on time without any hindrance or hassle.
