Yamaha Motor: Yamaha’s big bet on industrial robotics in India, starts new support division
Yamaha Motor: Japan’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha Motor has taken a big step towards expanding its robotics business in India. The company has started a new “Robotics Business Support Division” in Gurugram, Haryana. This new center has been set up under Yamaha Motor India, which handles sales of the company’s two-wheelers and other products in India.
The company believes that India’s manufacturing sector is rapidly modernizing and there may be a big jump in the demand for industrial automation in the coming years. Keeping this in mind, Yamaha is now preparing to strengthen its hold in the Indian robotics market.
According to Yamaha, the demand for industrial automation and robotics solutions is continuously increasing in India. Due to rapid investment in sectors like electronics, automobile and semiconductor, companies are now emphasizing on adopting smart manufacturing technology.
The new support division will provide technical support and service support for SMT Assembly Systems and Industrial Robots in the initial phase. After this the company will also develop the necessary infrastructure for semiconductor back-end processing equipment. Yamaha’s objective is not only to increase sales but also to provide better technical support and strong service network to the customers.
The company has also prepared a special showroom of its new robotics technology in this center located in Gurugram. Here, customers will be able to gain a closer understanding of Yamaha’s advanced robotics solutions and better understand their use in their production units.
Experts believe that due to the government’s increasing focus on “Make in India” and advanced manufacturing, India is rapidly emerging as a global manufacturing hub. In such a situation, investment by international companies like Yamaha can give new strength to the Indian robotics industry.
