PM Modi will give appointment letters to more than 51 thousand youth in the 19th employment fair today.

New Delhi, 22 May. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly appointed youth in various government departments and organizations in the 19th employment fair on Saturday. PM Modi himself gave this information through ‘X’ post.

Will participate in the program through video conferencing

PM Modi wrote in the ‘X’ post, ‘Our commitment to the bright future and empowerment of our young colleagues across the country is unwavering. In this direction, I will participate in another job fair through video conferencing on Saturday at 11 am. In this, the youth will get the privilege of handing over appointment letters from various government departments.

12 lakh appointment letters have been distributed in 18 employment fairs

Since the beginning of the employment fair, about 12 lakh appointment letters have been distributed through 18 employment fairs organized across the country. The 19th Employment Fair will be organized at 47 places across the country. The newly appointed candidates selected from all parts of India will join various ministries and departments of the Government of India. Among them, the prominent ones are Railway Ministry, Home Ministry, Health and Family Welfare Ministry, Financial Services Department and Higher Education Department.

Emphasis on connecting youth with employment and self-employment

During the 18th employment fair held last January, PM Modi had said that connecting the youth with skills and providing them employment and self-employment opportunities has been the priority of the government. The job fair was started to bring government recruitment into mission mode and over the years it has become an institution. He had said that through this initiative lakhs of youth have received appointment letters in various government departments.

India is among the youngest countries in the world

The Prime Minister had said, ‘Today India is one of the youngest countries in the world and the government is constantly trying to create new opportunities for the youth both within the country and abroad.’ He had told that the government is making trade and mobility agreements with many countries, which is opening new opportunities for young Indians. In recent times, India has made unprecedented investments in modern infrastructure, which has led to increased employment in construction sectors.

Growing opportunities from startups and digital India

PM Modi had said that India’s startup ecosystem is growing rapidly. Nearly two lakh registered startups are providing employment to more than 21 lakh youth. He had said that ‘Digital India’ has ushered in a new economy, with India emerging as a global hub in animation, digital media and many other sectors.
