IPL 2026 RCB vs SRH: Gujarat has made the IPL 2026 playoff equation more interesting by registering a resounding win against Chennai. The team captained by Shubman Gill not only achieved its biggest IPL win by winning the match by 89 runs, but also inflicted Chennai Super Kings’ biggest defeat in terms of runs. Whereas Sunrisers Hyderabad is now eyeing a place in the top-2. Hyderabad has 16 points from 13 matches and its last league match is against table topper Royal Challenger Bangalore today. If SRH wins this match, it will also have 18 points, but the real game will be on net run rate.

Net run rate will become the real game changer

Currently, the net run rate of Gujarat Titans is +0.695, while Hyderabad is present at +0.350. In such a situation, just winning will not be enough, SRH will have to register a big win. According to ESPN, if Hyderabad scores 220 runs while batting first, then it will have to win the match by about 88 runs. While defending the score of 200 runs, it will be necessary to win by about 87 runs.

If RCB sets a target of 150 runs, then Hyderabad will have to achieve it in about 11 overs. That means the team would need to win in a tremendous manner, not just by two points. On the other hand, if RCB wins this match, then Gujarat Titans’ place in the top-2 will be confirmed. Now all eyes are on this high-voltage match, where a big win can change the equation of the entire playoff.
