Horrific road accident in Barabanki, UP: Speeding dumper crushed sleeping family, 4 people died

Barabanki, 23 May. A painful road accident occurred late Friday night in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. A speeding dumper crushed a family sleeping on the roadside in Jhansa village located on Fatehpur-Mahmudabad road in Fatehpur police station area. The father and three children died in this accident, while the wife was seriously injured. According to the information, the incident happened at around 2 o’clock in the night. Due to the scorching heat and no electricity, 35-year-old Neeraj along with his wife Aarti and three children were sleeping on the roadside outside their house.

Meanwhile, the speeding dumper first hit a tree on the roadside and then went out of control and ran over the family. After the accident, there was an outcry in the village and a huge crowd gathered at the spot. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and took all the injured to the Community Health Center. Neeraj and his 13-year-old son Anurag died on the spot in the accident. At the same time, seriously injured 10-year-old Anshika, 6-year-old Ashu and wife Aarti were sent to the district hospital for treatment, where Anshika and Ashu also died during treatment.

The condition of seriously injured Aarti remains critical and she has been referred to Lohia Hospital in Lucknow. According to family members, Neeraj used to support the family by driving Magic vehicle on rent. District Hospital’s EMO Dr. Anand said that the patients were brought to the hospital by ambulance at around 5:15 in the morning. Two children were brought dead with serious injuries.

A woman was also brought who had serious injuries on her leg due to being crushed and is still undergoing treatment. The deceased include 35-year-old Neeraj, 13-year-old Anurag, 10-year-old Anshika and 6-year-old Ashu. He further said that Neeraj and Anurag died on the spot, while Anshika and Anshu died during treatment in the district hospital.
