‘Chand Mera Dil’ was seen struggling at the box office from the first day.

‘Chand Mera Dil’ has finally been released in theatres. This romantic film starring Ananya Panday and Lakshya Lalwani received positive response from the audience and critics, but its impact was not seen at the box office on the first day.

The producers had kept the ticket prices low to attract the audience. Tickets for the show before 5 pm were available for Rs 149 and tickets for the later show were available for Rs 199, but despite this the film could only make a business of Rs 2.90 crore on the first day.

However, it surpassed the film’s single day opening record of Rs 1.15 crore. The film’s earnings may have been less than expected, but it has proved to be the biggest opening of Lakshya Lalwani’s career so far.

Earlier, his film Kill, released in 2024, had earned Rs 1.35 crore on the first day. In such a situation, ‘Chand Mera Dil’ has registered a new achievement in Lakshya’s career. The further earnings of the film will now depend on the weekend and word of mouth of the audience.

On the other hand, the earnings of ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ are continuously falling. The film starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rakul Preet Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Vamika Gabbi has earned only Rs 1.35 crore on the 8th day and its total domestic business has reached Rs 30.40 crore.

Whereas ‘Karuppu’ is performing brilliantly at the box office. The Suriya starrer earned Rs 7.80 crore on the 8th day and has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark worldwide in just 8 days.
