Smartphone alert: In view of the increasing danger of smartphone blast in scorching heat, tech experts issued ‘Gadget Care’ advisory

New Delhi. In the month of May itself, the summer temperature across the country has reached above 45 degrees Celsius. This scorching heat is affecting us as well as our most important gadget i.e. smartphone. Due to the ever-increasing temperature, incidents of phone overheating, hanging and even battery bursting are coming to the fore. To keep smartphones safe in this season, tech experts have issued a special gadget care advisory.

These are the main reasons why smartphones are enemies.

Experts believe that in a temperature of 45 degrees, the temperature of the internal parts of the phone reaches 50 to 60 degrees. Smartphones use batteries made of lithium-ion which react rapidly after a certain temperature. Apart from this, keeping the phone in direct sunlight or doing heavy tasks on it while charging creates a situation of ‘thermal runaway’, which causes a blast.

Avoid these serious mistakes immediately

The temperature of the dashboard of a car parked in the sun can go up to 70 degrees or more, so do not leave your phone there even by mistake. Apart from this, never put the phone for charging with the cover on because covers made of plastic and leather do not allow the heat of the phone to come out. If you play games during fast charging, then remove the back cover of the phone and also avoid keeping the phone under the bed or pillow while charging while sleeping because doing so stops the ventilation of the phone. Apart from this, keep the brightness of the screen low and also turn off GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi running in the background. Also, to charge your phone, always use the original charger that came with the phone because local chargers increase overheating.

If your phone has become extremely hot, instead of keeping it in the freezer to cool it down immediately, let it cool down slowly in the normal fan air or by turning on airplane mode, because doing this will change the temperature of the phone suddenly and moisture will come inside the phone, due to which the phone can become completely dead.
