IPL 2026: Mumbai Indians signs Mahipal Lomror and Ruchit Ahir as injury replacements
Mumbai Indians have confirmed the signings of Rajasthan left-hander Mahipal Lomror and Saurashtra wicket keeper batsman Ruchit Ahir as replacements for Quinton de Kock and Raj Angad Bawa respectively, both of whom had been ruled out of IPL 2026 with injuries.
Lomror, is a left-handed all-rounder from Rajasthan, who bats in the middle order and bowls slow left-arm orthodox. He is an experienced IPL campaigner, having previously represented four franchises in the competition so far.
Ahir, is a wicketkeeper-batter who represents Saurashtra in domestic cricket. He was a part of the Reliance team at the DY Patil T20 Cup 2026 this pre-season, where the coaches and team management had the opportunity to observe him closely.
Wicketkeeper de Kock has played just three matches for MI this season, even scoring an unbeaten hundred in the first match against Punjab Kings.
Bawa, too, played a part in just three matches this term, picking up two wickets in three games.
