Fire broke out in a kutcha house due to sparking in the power line, three innocent children burnt alive.
Chief Minister expressed grief over the accident, announced financial assistance of Rs 6 lakh each to the families of the deceased children.
Straight. Three innocent children were burnt alive in a massive fire that broke out in a kutcha house in village Kasihwa in Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh on Saturday.
The fire engulfed the entire house within a few minutes. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has expressed grief over the accident. He said that the incident is very sad. Financial assistance of Rs 6 lakh each will be given to the families of the deceased children.
According to the information, a fire broke out due to short-circuit from an electric pole near the house of Ramratan Saket at around 1 pm on Saturday afternoon in village Kasihwa under Gopad Banas tehsil of Sidhi district, in which Ramratan’s two daughters Kumari Ghummu alias Sandhya Saket (about 6 years), Kumari Riddhi (about 1.6 years) and a son Nagendra (about 3 years) died tragically.
Eyewitness Pushpraj Mishra of the village said that there was sparking in the power line passing over the house. The spark fell on bamboo and dry goods kept nearby, after which the fire spread rapidly. Within no time the entire kutcha house was engulfed in flames.
At the time of the incident, the house was locked from outside and all three children were present inside. While leaving the house, the children’s mother had closed the door from outside, due to which the children got trapped inside. Fire engines reached the spot about half an hour after receiving the information, but by then all three children had died.
The children’s father Ramratan Saket told that he had received a call from his supervisor, who informed him about the fire in the house. At that time his wife had gone to the shop to buy ration, while the three children were alone at home.
Ramratan Saket told that he has four children, of which three daughters and one son. The elder daughter had gone to her grandmother’s house due to school holidays. The second daughter Ridhi studied in class one. Three innocent people including Ridhi died in the accident.
As soon as information about the accident was received, Jamodi police station in-charge Divya Prakash Tripathi reached the spot with the police force. The fire was controlled, but by then all three children had died. Police station in-charge Tripathi said that in the preliminary investigation the cause of the fire is believed to be short circuit.
A case has been registered and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem and a detailed investigation is being conducted. Meanwhile, as soon as the information was received, Sidhi Collector Vikas Mishra also reached the spot and took stock of the situation. The administration has assured all possible help to the victim’s family.
Chief Minister took cognizance of the incident, announced relief amount
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has taken immediate cognizance of the incident of death of three children in an accident due to short circuit in village Kasihwa of Sidhi district on Saturday.
He said that the incident is very sad and heart-wrenching. He expressed his condolences to the bereaved family and prayed to God to grant peace to the departed.
The Chief Minister said that the government is with the family in this hour of grief. The Chief Minister has also announced relief amount for the family. He has said that the families of the deceased children will be given financial assistance of Rs 6 lakh each by the state government. He told that on behalf of District Red Cross Society, Sidhi, immediate financial assistance of Rs 20-20 thousand has been given to the family.
Taking immediate cognizance of the incident, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each to the family. M.P. East Kshetra Electricity Distribution Company Limited has announced to give a relief amount of Rs 4 lakh to the family.
In this sequence, the funeral assistance amount of Rs. 15 thousand each has been given by the District Administration Sidhi at the rate of Rs. 5 thousand and the immediate assistance amount of Rs. 20-20 thousand has been given to the family by the District Red Cross Society Sidhi.
