The party has entrusted a big responsibility to Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha, who left the Aam Aadmi Party and joined BJP along with his colleagues. BJP has appointed Chadha as the new chairman of the petition committee of Rajya Sabha. This appointment is effective from 20 May 2026 and has been made by the Chairman of Rajya Sabha as part of the reconstitution of the committee. Rajya Sabha Chairman CP Radhakrishnan has reorganized this committee and nominated ten members in it.
