Those occupying lands in Uttarakhand are not well, CM Dhami took this big action
In Uttarakhand, those who encroach on government lands and violate land laws are no longer well. In fact, while holding an important virtual meeting from his personal residence in Khatima, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has given strict instructions to all the District Magistrates across the state. The Chief Minister has made it clear that if anyone has bought land disregarding the land laws of the state, then the state government will directly take possession of that property without any delay.
It is being told that the government has now completely shifted to the policy of zero tolerance regarding encroachment. The Chief Minister has bluntly said that from government lands of Gram Sabhas to enemy properties across the state, illegal encroachment will not be tolerated anywhere. Apart from this, instructions have been given to regularly review and ground check the details of Waqf properties being entered on the ‘Umeed Portal’.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami’s eye on weapons and ration cards of outsiders
In fact, the government has been alert for a long time about some anti-social elements coming and settling in Uttarakhand from outside states. In this series, now a thorough investigation of the arms licenses of people coming from outside the state will be started. The Chief Minister has asked the police and administration to immediately identify people with criminal background. Along with this, ineligible people who are enjoying the cream of government schemes through fake ration cards will also have to be weeded out. Along with the investigation of local public service centers, the verification drive of the police will be further intensified so that any kind of suspicious activities can be controlled in time.
Administration in action mode before monsoon, strict instructions on electricity and water
The government has also geared up in view of the upcoming monsoon season. CM Dhami has instructed all the districts to complete their preparations in time. Before the rains, special emphasis has been laid on repairing the damaged roads in the interior areas and improving the drinking water system. The Chief Minister has made it clear that under no circumstances should there be any unannounced or unnecessary power cut in the state amid the scorching heat. Even if it is necessary to cut off electricity due to any technical reason, the local public should be informed about it in advance, so that people do not have to face problems.
Chardham Yatra and important decisions for farmers
These days Chardham Yatra is at its peak in Uttarakhand. There was a special discussion regarding this also in the meeting. The Chief Minister has asked the officials to maintain smooth traffic arrangements and adequate availability of drinking water on the Yatra route. The most important thing is that continuous feedback will be taken from the devotees and on the basis of that the shortcomings of the system will be rectified. Apart from this, to facilitate the Manaskhand Yatra, an ultimatum has also been given to the officials to complete the construction work of Kainchi Dham Bypass by next month under any circumstances.
On the other hand, the government’s stance regarding schemes related to agriculture and horticulture is very clear. The Chief Minister has said that schemes like Poly House, Apple Mission and Kiwi Mission should not be limited to papers only. Their benefits should reach the farms directly so that there can be a real increase in the income of the farmers.
According to the local people, the pace of reconstruction has been slow in many areas after the disaster last year, in view of which the CM has given instructions to speed up the ongoing work in Joshimath and other disaster affected areas. It has also been asked to keep special vigil in sensitive areas just before the monsoon. Overall, this step of the government gives a clear message that negligence or ignoring the rules will not be tolerated at any level.
