Pro Volleyball League: Despite the scorching heat in Delhi, hundreds of young talents reached the trials, amazing enthusiasm was seen in the DPVL Trials.
Delhi. Phase 1 trials of Delhi Pro Volleyball League (DPVL) concluded successfully on Sunday. Despite the scorching heat, a large number of volleyball players from across the capital took part, which shows that if you have passion, dedication and commitment towards the game, nothing can stop you. Delhi Volleyball Association members Kulbir Singh and Priyank Sharma were also present during the trials.
The DPVL management expressed satisfaction over the quality and participation of the players, saying, “We formed an experienced selection committee to ensure a transparent and professional selection process, which evaluated the players on various parameters such as technical skills, fitness, understanding of the game and on-court performance. The league aims to provide a strong platform to future volleyball stars.”
In the program, Indian volleyball players Vineet Kumar and Prince Malik also met the players and inspired them. Former Indian captain Vineet Kumar said during the conversation, “It is extremely inspiring to see such a large number of young players participating with dedication despite the scorching heat. The energy and passion seen today shows that there is immense potential for volleyball in Delhi. Initiatives like DPVL can pave a strong path for future stars.”
Prince Malik, who has represented the Indian team, also praised the players and the league, saying, “The atmosphere at the trials was very positive and energetic. The players were giving their best on the court and that is what Indian volleyball needs at the grassroots level. The DPVL is creating a great platform for emerging talent.”
DPVL Founders Neeti Rawat and Jashoda Gulia expressed happiness over the excellent response received in the first phase of the trials and thanked the players, coaches, parents and all the partners. After the successful completion of Phase 1, Delhi Pro Volleyball League has now started preparations for the upcoming phases.
