During a high-level review meeting on Sunday, the chief minister directed officials to strengthen vigilance, maintain sanitation, and ensure religious activities remain within official rules. The state government said animal sacrifice will only be allowed at pre-designated locations approved by local authorities. Under the new UP Bakri Eid guidelines, no permission will be granted for sacrifices in open public spaces. The chief minister also reiterated that slaughter of prohibited animals remains completely banned in the state.

Officials have additionally been instructed to ensure namaz takes place only at traditional religious venues. Roads and public pathways cannot be blocked for prayers under any circumstances. Authorities across districts have been asked to maintain traffic movement and avoid disruptions during Bakri Eid celebrations.

The UP Bakri Eid guidelines also target illegal slaughterhouses and open meat sales. Yogi Adityanath directed district administrations to shut down unauthorised slaughter operations immediately. Licensed slaughterhouses have also been warned not to exceed their approved animal capacity.

The government has instructed officials to improve waste disposal systems after ritual sacrifices and ensure cleanliness across cities and towns. Special focus has been placed on uninterrupted power supply, sanitation, and emergency services during the festive period.

Security arrangements have been tightened in sensitive districts including Aligarh, Saharanpur, Rampur, and Sambhal. Police forces will conduct flag marches and continuous foot patrolling near religious locations before and during the festival.

The chief minister also asked officials to hold regular meetings with peace committees at district and tehsil levels to maintain communal harmony. Alongside Eid preparations, the government reviewed arrangements for Ganga Dussehra celebrations in cities including Varanasi and Prayagraj.
