Ranveer Singh’s official statement on ‘Don 3’ controversy

Ranveer Singh’s controversial statement

Actor Ranveer Singh has recently broken his silence on the controversy related to ‘Don 3’. The controversy escalated when the Federation of Western India Cine Employees announced a non-cooperation movement against them. The matter started when there were reports in the media that Ranveer had pulled out of the project even before the shooting of the film started.

FWICE press conference

FWICE confirmed its decision in a press conference on Monday. The organization clarified that until this matter is resolved, Ranveer will not be allowed to work with any of their members. Along with this, the makers have demanded a compensation of Rs 45 crore from Ranveer, saying that this amount was used in pre-production.

Ranveer’s official statement

Ranveer Singh released an official statement through his spokesperson. He said that he has always respected the film industry and everyone associated with the ‘Don’ franchise. The actor also revealed that he deliberately kept silence on the controversy as he feels that professional issues should be resolved sensibly rather than through public debate.

He wished the ‘Don’ franchise all the best for the future and declined to comment further on the rumours. His focus is only on his work and upcoming projects.

Role of Producers Guild of India

According to sources, the dispute has reached the ‘Producers Guild of India’, where senior producers are trying to mediate between Ranveer and Farhan Akhtar’s company ‘Excel Entertainment’. FWICE said that Excel Entertainment had filed a complaint saying that Ranveer had signed a three-film contract with them.

The federation criticized actors who leave projects at the last minute, saying this leads to instability in the film industry and affects the work of many daily wage workers.

Meanwhile, ‘Don 3’ has been continuously delayed since its announcement and there have been many changes in its casting. Currently, Ranveer Singh is focusing on his upcoming zombie thriller film ‘Pralaya’, in which he is also going to debut as a producer.
