How to apply online from home

Keeping in mind the convenience of the students, the Education Department has made the entire application process digital and very easy. Now there is no need for any student or parent to visit government offices. Students can apply directly by visiting the official website with the help of their mobile or computer. First of all students have to go to Medhasoft website. To login to the portal there, students will have to enter their examination registration number and date of birth or total marks. After this the portal will open and further process can be completed.

Information will have to be filled carefully

After successfully logging into the portal, students will have to fill their personal and academic information very carefully. In this, the student will have to give details of his name, total marks obtained in the examination, bank account number, name of the bank branch, IFSC code and government identity card required for his identification. If even one letter or number is wrong while filling the form, the application may get rejected, hence students are advised to fill their details very carefully.

Important terms and conditions regarding bank account

The amount received under this scheme will be sent directly through Direct Benefit Transfer i.e. DBT. The government has made some strict and important rules for this, which are mandatory to follow. The first condition is that the bank account should be in the student’s own name only. Joint account with parents or any other member will not be valid. Apart from this, the bank account must be fully activated at the bank level and the government identity card number must be linked to it.

Bank accounts outside Bihar will not be accepted

Students also need to keep in mind that their bank account should be in any nationalized bank, recognized private bank or India Post Payment Bank located in the state of Bihar. Account of any bank outside Bihar will not be accepted. If the account is not as per the rules, then the incentive amount sent by the government may get stuck, so before applying, go to your bank and check the status of the account.
