Farhan Akhtar lodged a complaint

Film producer and director Farhan Akhtar had filed a complaint against Ranveer Singh with the Indian Film and Television Directors Association (IFTDA) on April 11. The complaint was that the actor had earlier accepted the offer of the film and the shooting had already started, but he left the film midway. This case was handed over to FWICE for further action.

What was said in the complaint?

FWICE called a meeting and here Farhan Akhtar and the film’s producer Ritesh Sidhwani told FWICE that till now Rs 45 crore has been spent on the pre-production of this film. Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani say that the sudden exit of a lead actor from a big film causes financial loss to the makers. Farhan also said that the schedule was made keeping the star cast in mind, which has caused huge loss.

Notice sent to Ranveer Singh 3 times

After the complaint by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, FWICE sent notices to Ranveer Singh several times and also demanded Ranveer Singh to present his side. Besides, 3 reminders were also issued by the Federation on 22 April, 30 April and 13 May, even after which no response came from Ranveer Singh. FWICE expressed strong objection to this and seeing Ranveer Singh’s attitude, issued a non-cooperation directive against him. Whereas FWICE says that there is still time for Ranveer Singh to give his answer.

What is Non-Cooperation Directive?

Let us tell you that FWICE has not used the word ban, but they have said in their statement that a non-cooperation directive has been issued against Ranveer Singh.
