India’s left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh has been in the news continuously during IPL 2026, not only for his performance on the field but also for his activity on social media. From courting controversy over a controversial comment involving Tilak Verma to teasing teammate Priyansh Arya and allegedly arguing with fans online, Arshdeep has found himself at the center of intense scrutiny.
Now, it seems the pacer has either archived or deleted most of his Instagram posts, including a viral reel with Virat Kohli from the 2025 Champions Trophy.
It seems that Arshdeep has deleted more than 200 posts, out of which only 44 are currently visible on his official Instagram account. While it is not unusual for public figures to clear their social media profiles, in Arshdeep’s case the move has drawn particular attention as he has faced a lot of criticism in recent weeks.
Till now, neither Arshdeep nor his team has given any official clarification regarding this decision.
tilak verma controversy
Earlier this month, Arshdeep had shared a clip in which the pacer was heard calling Tilak “dark” while it was a light-hearted conversation between Indian teammates. He also asked the Mumbai Indians batsman if he had applied sunscreen before calling Naman Dheer “the real shine of Punjab”.
This sparked criticism online, with many users accusing the Punjab Kings pacer of racism.
Both Arshdeep and Tilak have remained silent on this controversy.
Arshdeep’s IPL 2026 campaign was nothing special
Although Arshdeep finished as the leading wicket-taker for PBKS in IPL 2026 with 14 wickets, his performance was not consistent. The left-arm pacer struggled with control at times, giving away too many wides and ending the season with an economy rate of 10.20.
PBKS, who had finished runner-up last season, missed out on a playoff berth by a narrow margin, finishing second by just one point despite winning six of their first seven matches of the season.
