Ahilyanagar News: Sanskar Metkar has added another crown to Rahuri’s head at the international level in the field of technology. Sanskar Metkar, studying Aerospace Engineering at MIT University, Pune, and his team have created India’s largest remote controlled unmanned micro aircraft (UAV). ‘Project Garuda’ This state-of-the-art aircraft, built under the ‘India Book of World Records’ and ‘Asia Book of World Records’ Both international organizations have registered.
The people of Rahuri are praising Sanskar for his success. Sanskar is the eldest son of Jitendra Metkar, Professor at Mahatma Phule Agricultural University College, Rahuri, and Rohini Metkar, Charity Inspector in the Charity Commissioner’s Department, Nashik. Because of his tremendous success, the name of Rahuri city and the entire taluka has become famous in the Asian continent. This aircraft has been built by Captain Satish Kache, Sanskaar Metkar of Rahuri and Rituja Yadav of the Aerospace Engineering Department of MIT Art, Design and Technology University in Loni Kalbhor, Pune. This is the first aircraft of its kind not only in India but also in Asia.
Weight and Capacity
‘Garuda’ The weight of this radio-controlled electric aircraft is 261 kg. This aircraft can easily fly at a speed of 80 kmph at a height of 100 meters with a weight of 100 kg. The test of take off from a height of 200 meters and landing safely on the ground has been successfully completed at Dhule. This technology will be used in future for air ambulance, air taxi and driverless advanced air travel Will be very beneficial for.
The university had given Rs 48 lakh
MIT University had given Rs 48 lakh for this big project. Some items for this aircraft were also procured from outside the country. The aircraft was taken to Dhule in a special truck for testing.
