‘He hugs me and calls me Didi…’ Khushboo Sundar’s befitting reply to those trolling her on meeting CM Vijay

In politics, differences of opinion between leaders of two different ideologies or parties are not new. But ideological differences do not mean that leaders become each other’s mortal enemies. This is a very simple and straightforward thing, which perhaps is beyond the understanding of many leaders and social media users of the country in today’s era. However, actor-turned-politician Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Thalapathy Vijay and BJP leader Khushboo Sundar have presented a beautiful example of this to the society.

‘Rare meeting’ amid ideological differences

Tamil Nadu’s new Chief Minister Vijay Joseph and his party ‘Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam’ (TVK) had opened a fierce front against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the last assembly elections. Both the parties had emerged as staunch opponents of each other. But recently such a rare moment in politics was seen which surprised everyone. Actually, famous actress and BJP member Khushboo Sundar went to the Chief Minister’s office and met Thalapathy Vijay.

However, Khushboo Sundar had come there not for any political purpose, but as the president of ‘STEPS’ (Small Screen Producers Council) to meet CM Vijay on Monday. But as soon as the pictures of this meeting surfaced on social media, people started criticizing Khushboo Sundar. He was heavily criticized on social media. Now 55 year old Khushboo Sundar has also broken her silence on this entire controversy and has given a befitting reply to the trollers. The actress told that her relationship with Vijay is not of today but is years old. Vijay calls her ‘Didi’ and she also knows how to perform the duty of an ‘elder sister’ very well.

Khushboo’s emotional post after meeting

On Monday, Khushboo Sundar not only met Chief Minister Vijay at the Secretariat, but also honored him with her team. Let us tell you that Khushboo Sundar is also handling the responsibility of the post of Vice President of BJP in Tamil Nadu. After this special meeting, while Khushboo shared pictures on her social media account, while talking to the media she said that she considers Vijay as her younger brother. Therefore, it was a very emotional moment for him to see him sitting on such a big and important chair of the state.

Khushboo Sundar has shared pictures of this meeting on social media platform X. In the first picture, she is posing smilingly while standing with Vijay, while in the second picture, other council members are seen together inside CM Vijay’s office.

While posting the pictures, Khushboo wrote in the caption:

“As President of STEPS (Small Screen Producers Council), I and my team of office bearers had the privilege and honor of meeting and felicitating the Honorable CM of Tamil Nadu, Shri Vijay at the Secretariat. Thank you very much for sparing your precious time and welcoming me so warmly.”

Further, while referring to their personal relationship, he wrote, “Personally, it was a very emotional moment for me to see my younger brother sitting on the CM’s chair. Our mutual love and respect will always remain like this.”

‘He hugged me and called me sister’

While talking to the media, Khushboo Sundar openly expressed her feelings. She said, “I feel very proud to call Vijay my younger brother. It was an emotional experience for me to see him at this milestone today. As an elder sister, it was really heart-touching to see my brother become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. When he hugged me and called me ‘didi’, I felt really happy.”

Vijay will usher in a new era in the state: Khushboo

Even though Thalapathy Vijay and his party TVK have declared Khushboo’s party BJP as their ‘ideological enemy’, Khushboo Sundar believes that Vijay will usher in a new era for the development of the state. Praising Vijay, he said, “Looking at his leadership, it is clear that as Chief Minister, he will bring a huge change in Tamil Nadu. Today we are seeing a very transparent government, where everyone is completely focused on their work. Vijay does not let personal relationships come in the way of his work, rather his entire focus is only on what is best for the people of the state.”

Why was Khushboo Sundar criticized?

As soon as the pictures of this meeting went viral on the internet, social media users erupted in anger. While most of these people were supporters of BJP, many other users started criticizing Khushboo for her alleged silence on some serious issues of Tamil Nadu.

One user sarcastically wrote, “Why is there silence on the issue of rape and murder of a girl in Coimbatore?” Another user expressed his displeasure by referring to the murder of a young boy and the incident of petrol bomb being thrown at a woman’s house in Madurai.

A user, who is also a journalist by profession, quote-tweeted Khushboo’s post and wrote, “A 10-year-old girl has been raped and murdered, a boy has been stabbed to death and a petrol bomb has been thrown at a residential house. But the Chief Minister is still busy meeting film personalities. Is this the change people were waiting for?”

Actress’s sharp counterattack on troller and journalist

Seeing this criticism, Khushboo Sundar did not remain calm and launched a scathing attack on that user (journalist). The BJP leader and actress wondered why this critic so easily ignored her second post, in which she had told that she had also met School Education Minister Rajmohan Arumugam.

Khushboo hit back and said, “It is very sad to see that this man, who calls himself a journalist, is suffering from selective amnesia. He saw the picture with the Chief Minister, but ignored the picture with Minister Rajmohan. He probably does not know that along with being the state vice president of BJP, I am also the president of the TV Producers Council and in that capacity I had gone to meet the Chief Minister.”

Khushboo asked- Where were you during the Stalin government?

Taking her point forward, Khushboo Sundar bombarded her opponent with questions. He said, “The so-called ‘selective honesty’ of this person does not allow him to think about what a good and deep relationship I have with the Chief Minister. Perhaps when you become part of the group of people who live in the world only on the exchange of favours, you start ignoring the facts. In which book of rules is it written that you should not meet people? I am sure that you who go to meet the then Chief Minister (Stalin) in 2021 He must have been the first person to ask the same question to the former Chief Minister, even though at that time Tamil Nadu was going through the worst law and order situation. We have always raised our voice against the atrocities against every child, every woman and every human being.
