Material
- Bottle gourd-1 small (peeled and cut into small pieces)
- Fresh curd-1 cup
- Green chilli-1-2 finely chopped
- Cumin-1/2 tsp
- Asafoetida-1 pinch
- Curry leaves-5-6
- Oil or ghee- 1 tsp
- salt-as per taste
- Roasted cumin powder – a little
- Green coriander for garnish
Method
- 1-First of all, boil the bottle gourd with some water and salt for five to seven minutes until it becomes soft.
- 2- When the bottle gourd cools down, remove its excess water. Beat the curd well in a bowl.
- 3-Add boiled bottle gourd, salt and roasted cumin powder to it.
- 4-Now prepare the tadka. Heat oil or ghee in the pan. Add cumin, asafoetida, curry leaves and green chillies. Let it crackle lightly.
- 5-Put this tadka on the curd-gourd mixture. Add green coriander on top and serve chilled.
