The company has made it mandatory for all LPG customers to complete the biometric based e-KYC process. If customers do not complete this process by June 30, 2026, gas subsidy may stop and cylinder booking may also face problems.

However, it is a matter of relief that now this work can be done easily from mobile even sitting at home.

Why is e-KYC necessary?

The government and oil marketing companies are emphasizing on digital verification to stop fake gas connections. The purpose of biometric e-KYC is to ensure that LPG subsidy reaches only genuine consumers. Through this process, the identity of the customers will be verified with Aadhaar and biometric details.

How to do Bharat Gas e-KYC sitting at home

Step 1: Download HelloBPCL App

First of all download HelloBPCL app on your smartphone. This app is available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Step 2: Login with mobile number

After opening the app, enter the same mobile number which is linked to your Bharat Gas connection. After this enter the OTP and login.

Step 3: Go to LPG Services section

Click on LPG Services or Bharat Gas section on the homepage. Here you will see the option of e-KYC or Biometric Authentication.

Step 4: Complete Aadhaar Verification

Now enter your Aadhaar number. OTP will come on the mobile number linked to Aadhaar, fill it and complete the verification process. After this press the Submit button.

As soon as the process is completed, a confirmation message will come on your mobile.

What to do if the app doesn’t work?

In some cases the system may ask for fingerprint or face verification. If the process is not being completed on the app, you will have to visit the nearest Bharat Gas agency or authorized center. There, e-KYC can be updated within a few minutes by placing a thumb on the biometric machine.

Forgetting deadlines can prove costly

The company has clarified that LPG subsidy can be stopped for customers who do not complete e-KYC by June 30, 2026. Not only this, there may be a problem in the next gas booking.

Therefore, to avoid last minute rush and technical problems, check the e-KYC status of your Bharat Gas connection as soon as possible.
