Redmi Turbo 5: Phone with 7000mAh battery, 50MP camera and 12GB RAM can be launched on June 18, details leaked

Redmi’s new smartphone Redmi Turbo 5 will be launched in India soon. The company had recently confirmed this. This will be the first Redmi Turbo series smartphone to be launched in India. The company has said in the teaser that the phone will have dual rear camera setup and it will be available at least in black color option.

Now a new report claims that Redmi Turbo 5 will be launched in India in the middle of next month. Along with this, the so-called Redmi 17 5G can also be introduced. It is being told that Redmi Turbo 5 will come in the Indian market with the same features and specifications as the Chinese version.

According to reports by Smartprix and tipster Yogesh Brar, Redmi Turbo 5 could be launched in India on June 18. Redmi 17 5G is also expected to be launched in the same event.

For information, let us tell you that Redmi Turbo 5 was launched in China in January. Its starting price was kept at CNY 2,299 (approximately Rs 30,000), in which 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is available.

The phone has a 6.59-inch AMOLED display, whose resolution is 1268×2756 pixels. This display comes with 120Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, 3500 nits peak brightness, Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support.

Redmi Turbo 5 has a 4nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor. It comes with a maximum of 16GB LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.

The phone has been given IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K rating, due to which it will be quite safe from dust and water. Talking about the camera, it will have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. A 20-megapixel front camera has been provided for selfie and video calling.

According to the report, high refresh rate LCD display can be found in Redmi 17 5G. This phone can come with Snapdragon 4 series chipset.

The phone is expected to have a battery larger than 7000mAh. Camera setup can include 50-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front camera. This smartphone can work on Android 16 based HyperOS 3. Recently, microsites for Redmi Turbo 5 were made live on Amazon and Xiaomi India website, confirming that the phone will be available for sale in India through Amazon and Xiaomi’s online stores.
