Cbi Takes Action In Neet Ug 2026 Paper Leak Case 2 More Arrested

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two more accused in the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case. With this, the total number of accused arrested in this high-profile case has increased to 13. The investigating agency is continuously investigating the links of the paper leak network and the people associated with it.

According to CBI, one of the arrested accused is Dr. Manoj Shirure of Latur. The investigating agency alleges that he played a key role in providing leaked chemistry questions to three students. These include a student, allegedly the son of an accused coaching center operator. According to CBI, Dr. Manoj Shirure had obtained leaked chemistry questions from accused PV Kulkarni and circulated them to the students.

The second arrested accused is Tejas Shah, who is said to be working as a physics faculty at a coaching center in Pune. The investigating agency says that Tejas Shah had obtained Physics questions of NEET-UG 2026 exam from the arrested accused Manisha Havildar.

CBI has said that the investigation of the case is still going on and the agency is busy finding out the entire conspiracy of the paper leak and the network associated with it. So far, raids have been conducted at 49 places across the country. Many important documents, laptops and mobile phones have been seized during these raids, which are being subjected to detailed forensic investigation.

The investigating agency said that this case was registered on May 12, 2026. On the basis of written complaint of Higher Education Department, CBI registered the case on the instructions of the Education Ministry. In the complaint, allegations were made about the question paper of NEET-UG 2026 exam being leaked.

As soon as the case was registered, CBI formed special investigation teams and started simultaneous raids in many parts of the country. During the investigation, several suspects were interrogated and digital evidence was collected.

So far, accused have been arrested in this case from Delhi, Jaipur, Gurugram, Nashik, Pune, Latur and Ahilyanagar. CBI claims that the investigation has revealed the real source of the leak of question papers of Chemistry, Biology and Physics. According to the agency, these questions were broadcast through different channels before the examination.

NEET-UG is considered one of the most important medical entrance examinations in the country, in which lakhs of students participate every year. In such a situation, allegations of paper leak have raised serious questions on the credibility of the examination system.

The CBI has said it is committed to a “comprehensive, impartial and professional investigation” into the case and that more arrests or revelations may be made in the coming days.
