IPL 2026 Qualifier 2 New Chandigarh Weather Update: Rajasthan Royals have entered Qualifier-2 of IPL 2026 by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 47 runs in the eliminator match. Now RR’s match will be played against Gujarat Titans on May 29 at Maharaja Yadvendra Singh International Cricket Stadium, New Chandigarh from 7:30 pm. Whichever team wins this match will directly play the title match against RCB on May 31.

At present, before the final, the eyes of all the cricket fans are fixed on the Rajasthan vs Gujarat match. Fans have already booked their tickets for this match. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain and hailstorm in Chandigarh and surrounding areas from the morning of 28th to 29th May, due to which an orange alert has been issued. However, it is a matter of relief that the weather is expected to remain clear till Friday evening and the chances of rain during the match are said to be very less. By evening the temperature may also drop from 35 degrees to around 28 degrees.

If the match is canceled then who will get the ticket for the final?

Before playing the title match against RCB in the final of IPL 2026, Gill’s Gujarat and Ryan’s Rajasthan will have to face two defeats each. If the weather affects this match, then the question of who will reach the final is in the minds of many fans. Please note that no reserve day has been kept for Qualifier-2. Which means that if it rains in the match and not a single ball is bowled, the match will be cancelled.

In IPL, for the result of the match, it is necessary to play at least 5-5 overs and if this is not possible then the match will definitely be cancelled. At present, Gujarat Titans are at second position and Rajasthan Royals are at third position in the points table. In such a situation, if the match is canceled due to rain then Gujarat Titans will get the ticket for the final.
