New Ethanol Stove can replace LPG cylinder, high flame at low cost, know how safe this stove is

LPG Cylinder Alternative: Nowadays, LPG gas cylinder is being used the most for cooking in Indian kitchens, but a new technology has become increasingly popular among the customers. Which is being called Ethanol Stove. For your information, let us tell you that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari recently shared information about this technology and claimed that this new stove can be cheaper than LPG cylinder and can also prove to be safer for the environment. Its special thing is that this stove is run on ethanol fuel produced from crops like sugarcane, maize and sweet sorghum.

What is Ethanol Stove and how does it work?

Talking about Ethanol Stove, it is a modern cooking stove which runs on ethanol fuel in liquid or gel form. This technology is based on Sustainable Combustion Technology. Inside which a small fuel tank is provided which stores ethanol. When it is burnt, neither smoke comes out nor any kind of smell or soot comes from the high flame.

Regarding this technology, reports are saying that when ethanol burns, it produces a temperature of around 700 to 800 degrees Celsius, which is enough to cook food quickly. If we look at it, its design looks like an old kerosene stove, but the modern burners installed in it make better use of fuel.

How much cheaper can it be than LPG cylinder?

In today’s time, it is very important to have the right price, hence reports have claimed that the cost of cooking with ethanol stove is less as compared to LPG gas. The report of UN Climate Technology Center and Network states that one liter of ethanol can provide continuous flame for about 15 hours. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has also said that LPG-like flame can be prepared by mixing 7 percent ethanol in water. However, at present this technology is in its initial stage and its use has not started on a large scale. But experts believe that if the price and supply of ethanol remains balanced, then it can become a very affordable option for the common people.

Why special in terms of environment and safety?

Ethanol is considered a bio-fuel because it is prepared from plants. It is not a fossil fuel like LPG, hence it is said to be safer for the environment. It is being told in the information that due to this reason, the smoke and soot coming out from it is very less which keeps the air of the kitchen clean. Besides, ethanol can also be used in gel form, which can reduce the risk of major accidents like gas leaks. It is believed that if this technology is successful in the future, it will not only reduce people’s expenses but will also help in reducing pollution.
