Taking aim at the opposition parties, Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale has expressed his frank opinion regarding the politics of Karnataka, the Supreme Court’s decision on the SIR process and the leadership of the India Alliance. Citing an example, the Union Minister said that Trinamool Congress (TMC) will claim that the upcoming elections will be fought under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee, while Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Sharad Pawar’s party will claim its own leadership. Athawale stressed that under whose leadership the India Alliance will contest the elections, it will be their own internal decision and it does not make much difference to the BJP or the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
