With the passage of time there was a change and jaggery was replaced by sugar. But now jaggery is getting the prestige that sugar used to have. Many people have started using jaggery. Jaggery is Ayurvedic and drinking its tea is good for health. Currently, sugar is being sold at Rs 44 and jaggery at Rs 70 to 80 per kg in the market. Therefore, even now, the market is seeing a picture like ‘Jaggery laughed, sugar rose.’ Villages around Vasdi and Pishore have long been famous for sugarcane and jaggery. Around 1995 around 100 cowsheds used to run throughout the season in the area of ​​these two villages.

This directly and indirectly provided employment to many people. Now only this number is limited to five to six. Because the costs in jaggery manufacturing business have increased a lot. Sugarcane cutting, transportation costs, actual jaggery production, wages increased. Due to that, one by one the farms were closed down. Since the process of making Jaggery in the area is completely natural, Jaggery in and around Pishore is famous in the three districts of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalgaon, Jalna. Jaggery here is in demand throughout the year. Sugarcane is harvested in one year after planting in the field, now because jaggery price is high, many people find it profitable to make jaggery from sugarcane and sell it. But even now there is a big problem of labor for Gurhal. Due to the rising costs, production of jaggery has become expensive. Okra or Chevari tree is used in making jaggery. Both these trees are Ayurvedic.

Demand for jaggery of 86032 species

With the increasing trend towards Ayurveda, everyone is now increasing the consumption of jaggery instead of sugar. As a result of this, the preference for jaggery tea instead of sugar is increasing. Seeing this preference of customers, hotels with jaggery tea have appeared everywhere. Earlier 419 species of sugarcane were used to make jaggery. As this species of sugarcane is disappearing, there is a demand for jaggery of this species 86032 in the market.
