‘Allah does not need flesh and blood’, Muslim daughter-in-law of TV’s ‘Lakshman’ gave a big statement regarding sacrifice on Bakrid.
Sara Khan Big Statement on Bakrid: The festival of Eid-ul-Azha i.e. Bakrid was celebrated with great enthusiasm, devotion and brotherhood across the country. On this special occasion, people of the Muslim community offer namaz, congratulate each other on Eid and also make sacrifices as per tradition. However, like every year, this time too a debate broke out regarding the sacrifice of animals. Meanwhile, TV industry’s famous actress Sara Khan shared such a message on Bakrid, which caught people’s attention on social media.
‘Allah does not need flesh or blood’
Sara Khan, who is the daughter-in-law of actor Sunil Lahiri’s family, tried to explain the real meaning of sacrifice by sharing a video on her Instagram account. He said in his post that Eid-ul-Azha is not just a festival of clothes, food or rituals, but it is a symbol of human faith, compassion and the spirit of sacrifice.
It was written in the video that the story of Prophet Ibrahim teaches us to have complete faith in Allah. This festival gives the message of good intentions, pure heart and sacrificing one’s most precious thing for God. The post further said, “Allah does not need flesh or blood. Allah sees our taqwa, our intentions and our compassion.”
Video went viral on social media
Sara Khan appealed to the people and said that the real meaning of sacrifice is kindness, charity, gratitude and helping the needy. He wrote, “This Eid, we should feed the hungry, protect the destitute and try to become better people. Let us sacrifice our ego and keep our hearts pure.” This video of Sara Khan is becoming increasingly viral on social media. While many people appreciated his ideas, some people also gave different reactions by linking it to religious traditions.
Administration became alert
Here, on the occasion of Bakrid, the administration in many states of the country also appeared alert. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed to impose a strict ban on the sacrifice of banned animals. Whereas in Tamil Nadu, Madras High Court, during the hearing of a petition, ordered a ban on the killing of cows and calves. In the petition filed in the court, it was alleged that at some places, preparations were being made to sacrifice animals in the open.
There was criticism on social media
Sara Khan has been in the news before also regarding her personal life. She married and later married Krish Pathak, son of Ramayana’s Laxman Sunil Lahiri, after which she faced a lot of criticism on social media. Some people had questioned his decision citing religious beliefs. However, Sara always called her personal life her choice.
