Their responsibility towards us and our welfare will remain. There is no disappointment in this. Our party won with 135+1 seats. Along with this, two independent candidates also supported our government.”

Siddaramaiah said that the Constitution is supreme, and we have tried to follow the path shown by it. We have tried to talk according to the principles laid down in the Constitution. We have tried to speak according to those constitutional principles. People treated us like dedicated followers. Our supporters and fans stood with us.

I have got the opportunity to serve seven crore people of Karnataka. I have also got the opportunity to become Chief Minister twice. I got the opportunity to become the leader of the opposition twice. I thank Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and our President Mallikarjun Kharge for giving me this opportunity.

He also said that Congress has the majority, and all the MLAs have the support of DK Shivakumar. He said that I was CM twice and Leader of Opposition twice. Thanks to the MLAs and MPs for their support.

A meeting was called at Siddaramaiah’s official residence on Thursday morning itself, in which DK Shivakumar also attended. In the same meeting, Siddaramaiah talked about resignation. Telling about the meeting, Karnataka Excise Minister R.B. Timmapur, considered close to Siddaramaiah, became emotional.

R.B. Timmapur said that when Siddaramaiah talked about resigning, all the cabinet members became emotional. Most of the ministers could not control themselves and started crying. Seeing the ministers crying emotionally, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah also became emotional.

When DK Shivakumar reached the meeting held at the CM residence in the morning, he touched Siddaramaiah’s feet and took blessings. After this both of them hugged, pictures of which went viral on social media.
