Under this thinking, after the victory of Congress in the 2023 assembly elections, a “secret formula” was prepared for the post of Chief Minister. According to this, Siddaramaiah will be the Chief Minister for the first two and a half years and after that the responsibility will be given to DK Shivakumar for two and a half years.

It is now believed that Siddaramaiah’s resignation has removed the biggest obstacle to the transfer of power. The party leadership also wants that there should not be any kind of power struggle in the politics of the state in future. In such a situation, the option of joining Rajya Sabha or Lok Sabha politics may remain open for Siddaramaiah, even if he has refused to enter central politics at present.
