I have been in a state of recovery for some time after becoming suddenly unwell on March 30. In the past, when health was normal, it was not possible to find time for any creative or literary activity due to the constant hustle and bustle of daily work. Marriage is not only a union of two individuals, but is also a union of two families. Marriage is one of the 16 rituals of our Sanatan Dharma. It should be followed with complete devotion and legality. But due to today’s materialism, pretentiousness and westernisation, the original rituals of marriage have become indulged in ostentation. Pre-wedding shoots have taken the form of an epidemic with huge expenditure and exposure. The tradition of Haldi ceremony, which was started with the intention of adopting it, has become extinct after being covered with the cover of modernity, which has been replaced by absurd banter and frivolity among friends. Jai Maal is also colored in the colors of diversity and sometimes even accidents occur. In this sequence, the list of food menu is becoming very long due to which there is a lot of wastage of food. Plastic is used a lot in the glamor of decoration which pollutes and unbalances our environment. It is my humble request to the great people holding the post of social reformers that some concrete steps must be taken in this direction so that the ancient Vedic traditions of Hindu religion become alive and meaningful.
