A grand lamp lighting and symposium is being organized on Saturday, 30th May under the aegis of Active Press Club. A lot of enthusiasm is being seen among the local journalists and intelligentsia regarding this program to be held in the camp office located near the block office.
In fact, every year May 30 is a very proud day for journalists in every corner of the country. This time, the Active Press Club of Thakurdwara will not only brainstorm on the changing nature of journalism, but will also encourage the soldiers of the pen who are doing better work in the society.
Conceptual seminar will be organized from 8:30 am
According to the information received from the organizing committee, the program will start with the lighting of the lamp at exactly 8:30 in the morning. This very special event will be presided over by Active Press Club President Anil Sharma himself. Apart from all the small and big journalists of the area, social workers and dignitaries of the area have also been invited to the programme. It is being told that in this seminar, there will be open discussion on the threats looming on the fourth pillar of democracy and the challenges of the present era.
Tribute will be paid to Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi
One of the main attractions of this program is to remember the country’s great freedom fighter and fearless journalist Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi. During the event, a heartfelt tribute will be paid to him and stories of his fearless journalism will be shared. Club officials say that in today’s times when many types of questions arise on journalism, personalities like Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi become ideal and relevant.
Pledge of solidarity with honor ceremony
After the symposium, a plan for a felicitation ceremony has also been prepared. In this, media persons doing excellent work in the field will be honored. Along with this, all the journalist friends will together take a big resolution on how to strengthen ‘Journalist Unity’ in today’s fragmented era.
