Heat wave’s havoc over, IMD alert of 100 Kmph winds and heavy rains

The weather across the country has once again taken a turn. People who have been suffering from heat and heat for the last few days are now going to get relief. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has given good news that the scorching heat and heat wave prevailing in North-West India has now stopped. Also, within the next 24 hours the heat wave will reduce in Central India also. Now there is going to be a change in many parts of the country with rain, storm and thunder. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rains with strong thunderstorms in North India, Central India and Eastern India between May 29 and May 31. During this period, winds can blow at a speed of 70 to 100 kilometers per hour. Hail may also fall at many places, which may pose a risk of damage to crops.

In the next 2-3 days, Monsoon is going to advance further into South-West and South-East Arabian Sea, Lakshadweep, many areas of Bay of Bengal and North-East Bay of Bengal. Heavy rain alert has been issued in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. At the same time, there may be good rain with thunder in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Weather conditions in Delhi

The weather in the capital Delhi has remained quite pleasant for the last two days. There has been some relief from the heat. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a good possibility of rain and thundershowers in Delhi for the next two days (30 May to 1 June). During this period, winds can blow at a speed of 60 to 70 kilometers per hour. The day temperature will be around 36 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature at night is also likely to be about 3 degrees below normal, due to which the nights will be cool and comfortable.

Thunderstorm alert in Uttar Pradesh

The weather is going to change in Uttar Pradesh on 30th and 31st May. There may be light to moderate rain with thunder in most parts of the state. Winds will blow at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. There is a possibility of rain at some places along with dust storm in eastern Uttar Pradesh. Special impact of strong storm and rain can be seen in districts like Prayagraj, Kanpur, Ghazipur, Pratapgarh, Rae Bareli and Banda. Farmers and common people have been advised to remain alert.

Heavy rain and hailstorm in Bihar

The weather is going to be very bad in Bihar today on 30th May. There is a possibility of light to heavy rain with thunder in many districts including Patna, Rajgir, Siwan, Bhagalpur. Hail may also fall during this period. Yesterday, a record high wind speed of 107 kilometers per hour was recorded in Patna, which shows how fast the wind speed can be.

The weather department has also issued an alert in Rajasthan. There is a possibility of dust storm and lightning in major cities like Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ajmer and Kota. There will be a drop in temperature in eastern Rajasthan. On May 30, there may be light rain with thunder in many areas. The speed of winds can reach 60 to 80 kilometers per hour.

Strong winds and rain in Jharkhand

There is an alert of rain and thunder with strong winds of 50 to 70 kilometers per hour in Jharkhand on May 30 and 31. There is a possibility of thunderstorm and rain in cities like Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Bokaro and Dhanbad. Heavy rain may also occur at some places. Winds are expected to blow at a speed of 57 kilometers per hour in Netarhat.

Bad weather in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand

There is a possibility of rain and hailstorm with thunderstorms on May 30 in areas like Shimla, Mandi, Kullu, Chamba and Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh. Winds can blow at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. An alert of heavy rain, strong winds (50-70 km/hr) and hailstorm has also been issued in Uttarakhand. The weather is going to be bad in Dehradun, Nainital, Rudraprayag, Chamoli and Pithoragarh.
