Mega interchange linking Long Thanh airport with HCMC expressways partially opens to traffic

Construction of the Long Thanh interchange began in July 2023 to link three major routes: the HCMC–Long Thanh–Dau Giay Expressway, which links HCMC and Dong Nai, and the Bien Hoa–Vung Tau Expressway, which links Dong Nai and Vung Tau beach town, and the T2 road leading to Long Thanh International Airport in Dong Nai.

Because the interchange is part of a massive transport complex, its construction is split between two simultaneous projects.

The first portion falls under Component Project 2 of the Bien Hoa–Vung Tau Expressway. The second portion belongs to the T1–T2 connecting road project, which is overseen by Component Project 3 of the Long Thanh Airport, Vietnam’s largest airport project.
