On Friday, 29.05.2026, a review meeting was organized by Municipal Officer Randhir Mishra with the advocates of police stations under his circle area. The main objective of the meeting was to provide necessary guidelines for effective disposal of pending and pending cases in the court, strengthening the prosecution proceedings and prompt punishment of criminals.
During the meeting, while reviewing the cases identified under Operation Conviction, it was directed that each lawyer should ensure timely collection of evidence, presence of witnesses and effective advocacy in the court in the pending cases related to their respective police stations, so that maximum punishment can be given to the accused.
Necessary guidelines were given by the city jurisdictional officer to dispose of the cases related to top-10 criminals, Gangster Act and other serious crimes on priority basis. Besides, emphasis was laid on not showing any kind of laxity in the cases pending in the court and on establishing better coordination between the police and the prosecution department in the prosecution work. In the meeting, all the advocates were directed to keep their records updated and keep the higher officials informed from time to time about the progress of each case.
