Outcry in Rajasthan! All petrol pumps will be closed from June 1, there is a race to fill the car tank from now on.

A very disturbing and big news is coming out at this time for the drivers and general public of Rajasthan. If you live in Rajasthan, then be careful, because from June 1, there may be a huge shortage of petrol and diesel in the entire state. Rajasthan Petroleum Dealers Association has bluntly warned the government that if their legitimate demands are not met soon, then petrol pump operators across the state will go on indefinite strike from June 1.

In view of this big crisis, Rajasthan Petroleum Dealers Association has sent an official letter to Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. The association has appealed to the Chief Minister to immediately intervene in the matter and call an emergency meeting before the June 1 deadline. Association President Rajendra Singh Bhati has accused the government of neglect and said that despite repeatedly writing letters and sending emails, no meeting has been called for them at the Chief Secretary level. Dealers say that at present there is a continuous interruption in the supply of petrol and diesel in the state, due to which many petrol pumps are on the verge of closure every day.

Dictator action being taken against pump operators

The association has accused the oil companies of dictatorship and said that the petroleum companies have deliberately limited the supply of fuel through verbal orders and WhatsApp messages. The situation worsened further when forced administrative action was taken against pump operators selling oil beyond their prescribed limits and even their licenses were being suspended. Apart from this, despite low demand in the market, pressure is being created on dealers to sell expensive branded oil.

Due to this strike, a big crisis has arisen for the farmers also. Just before the onset of monsoon and the beginning of the sowing season, a complete ban has been imposed on providing diesel in drums to farmers, due to which there is a fear that farming in rural areas will come to a standstill. The remaining gap has been filled by the outstanding bills of government rallies and Prime Minister’s visits. Dealers have not yet received payment worth lakhs of rupees for the fuel borrowed during these trips, due to which they are facing severe financial crunch.

Know what are the main demands of petrol pump dealers

Before going on strike, the Petroleum Dealers Association has placed some of its major demands before the government, on which they want an immediate decision.

  • In Rajasthan, VAT on petrol and diesel should be reduced by at least 5%.
  • Tax rates should be rationalized by bringing them at par with neighboring state Punjab.
  • The interrupted supply of fuel by oil companies should be immediately restored.
  • The illegal black trade of biodiesel and base oil running rampant in the state should be completely stopped.
  • The outstanding payment for oil taken during previous government rallies and VIP tours should be cleared immediately.

Association President Rajendra Singh Bhati clearly says that due to very high VAT rates in Rajasthan, the most expensive petrol and diesel in the entire country is being sold here. Not only petrol-diesel, but also the prices of CNG in the state are much higher than the neighboring states of Haryana and Punjab. In such a situation, if Bhajan Lal government does not find a middle path in this matter in time, then the wheels of Rajasthan may stop completely from June 1.
