At that time, he did not even have a solid script for the film, he just had a vague idea and on the basis of that idea, he had approved my name for this particular role."

Expressing happiness over the unwavering trust shown by Aditya Dhar, Rakesh Bedi said, "It is a matter of great pride for me that a capable director like Aditya Dhar thought of me. He chose me for this role after seeing my years of acting and work. In my career, I have always tried to bring the character to life through my acting and take it forward. This is the reason why even today people call me ‘Jameel Jamali’, just like years ago people used to recognize me by the character of the superhit show ‘Shriman Shrimati’."
