At that time, he did not even have a solid script for the film, he just had a vague idea and on the basis of that idea, he had approved my name for this particular role."

This is the reason why even today people call me ‘Jameel Jamali’, just like years ago people used to recognize me by the character of the superhit show ‘Shriman Shrimati’."
