In this scorching heat, strong sunlight, sweat and rising temperature create the risk of dehydration i.e. lack of water in the body. To avoid this, it is important to drink plenty of water.

According to experts, the need for water is different for everyone. Generally a healthy person should drink 2.5 to 3.5 liters of water. But, after coming from sunlight, after long run, exercise or yoga, the body gets dehydrated, in such a situation the need of water increases.

As soon as you wake up in the morning, you should drink 1 to 2 glasses of normal or lukewarm water on an empty stomach, this helps in reducing the energy lost due to relaxation of the body overnight. It also keeps the body hydrated and the digestive system works better.

If you have to go out of the house, drink a glass of water 15 to 20 minutes before leaving. Due to this, water deficiency in the body does not happen quickly.

  • Keep drinking water at short intervals

To keep the body hydrated in summer, instead of drinking too much water at once, drink a little water every 30 to 40 minutes. Drinking small amounts of water hydrates the body properly and helps in preventing heat stroke.
