Anant Singh: Relief to Bihar’s strong MLA Anant Singh, court bans his arrest till June 5 in the case of waving weapons.


Gopalganj. Mokama’s powerful JDU MLA Anant Singh has currently got relief from the MP/MLA court located in Gopalganj, Bihar. The court has banned the arrest of Anant Singh till June 5. Apart from Anant Singh, Special Judge Rajendra Kumar Pandey of Gopalganj Court has also stayed the arrest of Bhojpuri singer Gunjan Singh. Gopalganj MP/MLA Court will hear this case on June 5 and decide on further steps.

After Anant Singh got relief, his lawyer Rajesh Pandey told Meida that Bihar Police could not submit the forensic investigation report in the court. For this, the government lawyer requested the court to give the next date. The government lawyer told the court that there was also discussion on handing over the case of Anant Singh to Bihar CID. Gopalganj police has already handed over the case files to CID of Bihar. After the forensic report is filed in the court, after considering it, a decision will be taken on the next date whether Anant Singh goes to jail or the relief given to him remains intact.

This case against Anant Singh is from Mirganj police station area of ​​Gopalganj. It is alleged that there was a sacred thread ceremony in Semraon village on 2 and 3 May 2026. JDU MLA Anant Singh and Bhojpuri singer Gunjan Singh also attended this program. It is alleged that during that time some people waved weapons there in the presence of Anant Singh and Gunjan. Its video went viral on social media. On this, the police had registered an FIR against 9 people including Anant Singh and Gunjan Singh. The police had asked Anant Singh to appear with his weapons and license by May 15. So that his ballistic investigation could be done, but the JDU MLA and his supporters did not appear before the police. After this, the police had applied in the court to add two more sections in the FIR. At the same time, Anant Singh says that weapons were not waved in his presence.
