CBSE to reopen post-result activities portal from June 1 for verification and re-evaluation requests
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that its Post-Result Activities portal for verification, photocopy requests and re-evaluation of answer books will become operational from June 1, 2026, as the board moves to ensure a transparent and glitch-free process for Class 10 and Class 12 students following the declaration of results.
In an official update, CBSE said students seeking verification of marks, obtaining scanned copies of evaluated answer books or applying for re-evaluation would be able to access the portal through the board’s official platform once the process begins next week.
The board stated that the new cycle of post-result activities has been structured to improve transparency and reduce technical disruptions that had triggered complaints from students and parents during earlier application procedures. CBSE recently faced criticism after some candidates reportedly experienced incorrect fee deductions and technical issues while applying for scanned copies of answer sheets following the board examination results.
Officials said the board has now streamlined the process and activated support mechanisms to assist students facing difficulties during applications. Students with queries or technical concerns have been advised to contact the CBSE Tele-Counselling Helpline or use the designated email support system for assistance.
The post-result process is considered crucial for students dissatisfied with their marks or those seeking clarification regarding evaluation. Under the existing CBSE system, students are typically allowed to first apply for verification of marks, followed by obtaining photocopies of evaluated answer books, and later seek re-evaluation of specific answers if required.
Education experts note that the increasing demand for transparency in board examination systems has pushed education boards across India to digitise and simplify rechecking procedures. Over the past few years, CBSE has gradually expanded online access to post-result services while attempting to reduce delays and manual intervention.
The development comes amid heightened attention on examination transparency and evaluation systems in the country following recent debates around national-level entrance examinations and result-related grievances raised by students in multiple competitive exams.
CBSE has advised students and parents to regularly monitor the official website for detailed schedules, fee structures and application guidelines related to verification and re-evaluation activities beginning June 1.
The board is expected to release step-by-step instructions and timelines for each stage of the post-result process in the coming days.
