After being ruled out of IPL 2026, Vaibhav Suryavanshi posted an emotional story on Instagram. He wrote in his Insta story that he still can’t believe how quickly emotions can change in 20 overs. Tonight is a sad night. This defeat is hurting us a lot. Today we have to sit with sadness, frustration and disappointment. Shubman Gill and the Gujarat Titans team performed brilliantly tonight, they deserve credit for it.
In his post, Vaibhav further wrote that thank you to all those who believed in this young team, stood by us, defended us, and supported us in all 16 matches of this season. But as a team, I’m sad that we couldn’t give you the night you deserved tonight. Regretfully, we disappointed you when victory meant the most to you.
Talking about Vaibhav Suryavanshi, he is the highest run-scorer batsman in IPL 2026. He has scored 776 runs in 16 matches so far this season and currently holds the Orange Cap. The name of GT captain Shubhman Gill is at second place in this list. He has scored 722 runs so far. There is a difference of only 54 runs between him and Vaibhav. If Gill scores 55 runs in the final then the Orange Cap will be in his name.
