CNG Price Hike: Big shock of inflation! CNG became costlier by ₹2, PNG prices also increased

Inflation has hit another big blow on the common man’s pocket. If you also use CNG to drive or you have piped cooking gas (PNG) coming to your house, then this news can spoil your budget. The prices of CNG and PNG have once again been increased significantly today. Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) has announced an increase in gas prices in the country’s financial capital Mumbai and its surrounding areas. After this new shock, the rate of CNG in Mumbai has now crossed Rs 86 per kg.

LPG also becomes expensive, direct impact on 31 lakh families

This time, not only the fuel for vehicles has become expensive, but the kitchen budget has also deteriorated. Along with CNG, the company has also increased the prices of cooking gas (PNG), which reaches homes through pipes, by 52 paise per unit. This sudden increase in prices is going to have a direct impact on about 31 lakh houses in and around Mumbai.

Let us tell you that in many big areas including Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Andheri and Kurla, now CNG customers will have to pay Rs 86 per kilogram. According to media reports, earlier this month also on May 14, CNG prices were increased, even then an increase of Rs 2 per kg was recorded. This means that this is the second major shock for the public in just one month. It is noteworthy that last week CNG also became expensive in Delhi-NCR, where the prices have been increased for the fourth time since May 15.

Why did gas suddenly become expensive? The company told the real reason

A Times of India report on this fire in gas prices has revealed the statement of a senior official of Mahanagar Gas Limited. The official says, “Due to the ongoing global tensions and international conditions, the entire supply chain has been badly affected. Due to this, we have to depend on other expensive sources for gas. Along with this, the continuous rise in the prices of crude oil in the international market and the fall in the value of rupee against the dollar have made the purchase of gas very expensive. This is why we are forced to reduce the prices of CNG by Rs 2 per kg and the prices of PNG by Rs 2 per kg. Had to increase by 52 paise per unit.”

Relief in prices of petrol and diesel, but there have been 4 shocks this month.

There was some peace on the petrol-diesel front on Saturday amid rising prices of CNG and PNG. Oil companies have not made any change in the prices of petrol and diesel today and the rates remain stable at the old level. However, the matter of relief is only for today, because this month the oil companies have increased the prices of petrol and diesel 4 times. Due to this continuous increase, the rate of petrol in many cities of the country has crossed the magical figure of Rs 110 per liter, due to which the problems of the drivers have already increased.
