Sunil Ambekar: “Considere democratic discussions as a normal process”
In an interview with ANI, Sunil Ambekar said that in India as a conscious society, it is completely natural to have public discussions and different opinions. He said:
-
Strength of Democracy: Indian democracy has the capacity to accommodate all voices. We should not be surprised by any kind of discussion or different viewpoints, it should be considered part of a normal process.
-
Trust in Institutions: When asked whether the RSS should interfere in the issue, he said that our political institutions, independent media and law and order are fully capable of dealing with these matters. The union does not need to respond immediately to every issue.
CJP’s growing influence and controversy
The ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP) has carved a niche for itself, especially among Gen-Z. Its number of followers on Instagram has exceeded that of many big political parties, which has sparked a new debate in political circles.
-
Counter charges: While some BJP leaders have made serious allegations against CJP and termed it suspicious, the government has also taken steps like blocking its ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) handle. This matter is currently pending in the Delhi High Court.
-
Opposition and support of film personalities: Opposition leaders like Mahua Moitra, Akhilesh Yadav and Kirti Azad as well as several Bollywood celebrities and stand-up comedians have also expressed support for the CJP, bringing the issue further into the spotlight.
Sangh’s faith in youth power
Expressing his faith in the youth of India, Sunil Ambekar said that the country’s young generation i.e. Gen-Z has a lot of expectations about the future. He has full faith in the progress and system of his country. RSS believes that only youth power will work to make India’s democracy more vibrant and stronger.
With this statement, RSS has given the message that instead of getting worried about these discussions on social media, it is better to have faith in the democratic system and institutions.
