In Jharkhand, informers will get a bumper reward of Rs 2 lakh, a big decision of Soren Cabinet.
Jharkhand News: Jharkhand government has taken a very big and tough step to break the growing drug trap in the state and completely control smuggling. A new and attractive reward policy has been approved in the important cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Under this new policy, people who provide intelligence against people smuggling drugs and other banned substances in the state will be given a big cash reward by the government.
The morale of informers and common people will increase
The government believes that this step will boost the morale of the general public and informers and will help in completely eliminating the drug mafia from the state. In this cabinet meeting, not only drug de-addiction, but many other important decisions related to the development of the state and the welfare of the employees have also been taken.
Government employees will get cash reward up to Rs 2 lakh
Vandana Dadel, Additional Chief Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat and Vigilance Department, gave detailed information about this new policy to the journalists after the meeting. He said that this reward policy has been made under the NDPS Act to stop illegal smuggling and production of banned drugs. Under this, along with informers who give correct and accurate information, government employees who show promptness will also be rewarded.
What will be the amount of cash prize?
The amount of cash prize has been fixed from a minimum of Rs 3 thousand to a maximum of Rs 2 lakh. This reward will depend on the quantity of drugs seized and what type of drugs they are. The government hopes that due to this incentive amount, people will come forward openly and give correct information to the police administration.
Government employees and pensioners got a big gift
In this cabinet meeting, Jharkhand government has given a big relief to lakhs of its government employees and pensioners and announced increase in dearness allowance. The government has decided to increase the dearness allowance of employees from 58 percent to 60 percent. Along with this, a similar increase of two percent has been made in the dearness relief allowance for the elderly receiving pension, due to which their allowance has now become 60 percent.
When will the government’s decision be considered effective?
This big decision of the government will be considered effective from January 1st of this year. This decision of the Chief Minister will strengthen the economic condition of lakhs of families in the state. A total of 39 important proposals have been passed in this cabinet meeting, which also includes an agreement with the Meteorological Department to improve the weather services at Dumka Airport.
Staying in Delhi’s Jharkhand Bhawan becomes expensive
As part of other decisions taken in the cabinet meeting, a major change has also been made in the booking rates of rooms in Jharkhand Bhawan located in the country’s capital Delhi. Now people will have to shell out more to stay there. The room reservation fee for officials and leaders going to Delhi on government work has now been directly reduced to Rs 100 instead of Rs 20. Whereas for common people going for personal work, the fare for the first three days has been increased from Rs 200 to Rs 750 per day.
After this, Rs 1,000 will have to be paid for the fourth to sixth day and Rs 2,000 for every day of stay for 7 days or more. Apart from this, this rate has been kept even higher for private people coming on the recommendation of VIP, in which they will have to pay Rs 3000 per day for the first three days.
These people will get monthly pension without age limit
The Soren government of Jharkhand has also given a huge humanitarian relief to the people associated with the cultural sector of the state. There has been a major relaxation in the rules of the monthly pension scheme being run for seriously ill and disabled artistes in the state. Earlier, to avail the benefits of this scheme, it was mandatory for artists to be at least 60 years of age, due to which young and needy sick artists were deprived of this benefit. Now the government has completely abolished this mandatory age limit.
Only those with monthly income less than Rs 8 thousand will benefit from the scheme.
According to the new rules, now elderly artists above 60 years of age as well as seriously ill and disabled artists of any age will be given a monthly pension of Rs 4,000 every month. However, the benefit of this scheme will be available only to those artists whose total monthly income from all sources is less than Rs 8 thousand.
