Waiting for Bobby Deol’s film ‘Bandar’

Mumbai: These days Bobby Deol is in discussion about his new film ‘Bandar’. This is his first film in which he is working with famous director Anurag Kashyap. ‘Bandar’ has already received accolades at several international film festivals and is now all set to release in Indian theatres. The audience is very eager for this.

Synopsis of the story of the film

‘Bandar’ is a dark thriller. It is shown in the trailer that Bobby Deol’s character Sameer meets a girl through a dating app. There is a conversation between the two, but suddenly the police arrests Sameer.

Sameer claims that he has been falsely accused. At the same time, the character of the girl also increases the mystery in the story. After watching the trailer, some people have described it as full of negative attitudes towards women. It is also being seen as an ‘anti-woman’ film on social media.

Explanation of producer Nikhil Dwivedi

Producer Nikhil Dwivedi has expressed his views on the questions being raised regarding the film. While talking to a media channel, he clarified that ‘Bandar’ is not against women, but is based on one person’s fight for justice.

Nikhil said, “Our film is not against women. We are also focusing on the Twisha Sharma case. What happened is extremely sad and should be properly investigated. If any crime has been committed, the culprits should be punished. ‘Bandar’ is not anti-women but pro-justice film.”

Need for faith in justice

Nikhil further said that it is not necessary not to believe a woman when she is wronged, but it is equally important to believe in justice. We believe in justice more than any one gender. This is the biggest strength of our Constitution and law.

This is the foundation of democracy. Ultimately justice must prevail. Bobby Deol’s ‘Bandar’ will be released in theaters on June 5, along with actors like Saba Azad, Sanya Malhotra, Riddhi Sen, Jitendra Joshi and Sapna Pabbi.
