Craze for Instagram Reels, when father scolded her, the girl ran away from home with her brother
A shocking case of increasing addiction to social media has come to light from Bhajanpura area of the capital Delhi. The habit of watching Instagram reels increased so much that the 14-year-old girl stopped even listening to her family members. When her father scolded her for this, she angrily left the house, taking her 11-year-old brother with her.
According to the information, after leaving home, both the children kept wandering in trains between Delhi and Haryana. The family members searched extensively among relatives and acquaintances, but could not find any trace of him. Ultimately the family appealed to the police for help.
Police came into action on the complaint of fruit seller father
Ram Narayan Shah, a resident of Bhajanpura and a fruit seller by profession, lodged a complaint with the police on May 25. He told that his 14-year-old daughter and 11-year-old son had left the house around 11:30 am on May 24, but did not return.
Seeing the seriousness of the matter, Bhajanpura police station immediately registered a case and formed a special team. Under the leadership of police station in-charge Inspector Satyawan Lathwal, policemen started searching at possible places, interrogated local people and tried to trace the children through technical means.
Clue found near New Delhi Railway Station
During continuous investigation and technical surveillance, police received information that both the children were present in New Delhi Railway Station area. The team immediately reached the spot and recovered both of them safely. The legal process was completed by bringing the children to the police station and medical examination was conducted, in which both were found completely safe.
Reason revealed during interrogation
During police interrogation, the girl told that she used to watch videos and reels on Instagram for hours. His father had scolded him for this very thing. Angered by the scolding, she decided to leave the house and took her younger brother along with her.
