Rain and storm alert in 17 states, relief from heat. IMD Rain Alert in 17 States, Heatwave Relief Expected

At present, there is severe heat in the entire country. People are having trouble even going out of the house. But now there is good news. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that rain and storm are going to occur in many states in the next few hours. This will reduce the heat. The effect of heat wave has now weakened in most areas of Central India. The remaining areas are also expected to get considerable relief from the heat within the next 24 hours. There is a possibility of strong winds, rain with thunder and lightning in North-West India, Central India and Eastern India on 31 May. During this period, winds can blow at a speed of up to 80 kilometers per hour.

Monsoon intensified

The south-west monsoon is increasing its speed. On May 30, it has advanced into many new parts of the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and Lakshadweep. According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon is going to spread further in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and surrounding areas in the next 4 to 5 days. Due to this, rain may start soon in these states also.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of storm and rain in a total of 17 states. The states included are: Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Bihar, Tripura, Mizoram, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Jharkhand, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Nagaland and Madhya Pradesh.

There will be partly cloudy sky in the capital Delhi today i.e. on 31st May. There may be light rain in the evening. There may also be thunder and lightning along with rain. During this period, winds will blow at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. It will be cloudy on 1st and 2nd June also, but the chances of rain are less.

Weather conditions in Uttar Pradesh

The weather is going to change in Uttar Pradesh also. There is an alert of rain with thunder and lightning on May 31 in many big cities including Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Agra and Meerut. The weather will be more active in districts like Meerut, Shamli, Bulandshahr of western Uttar Pradesh. The speed of winds can range from 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. This alert will remain in effect till 31 May and 1 June.

Rain alert in Bihar

People of Bihar are also going to get relief from rain. There is a possibility of rain with thunderstorms on May 31 and June 1 in almost all the major districts including Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Purnia, Darbhanga. Strong winds may blow at some places and there is also a danger of lightning.

Dust storm affected many areas in Rajasthan on Saturday. The Meteorological Department has predicted that thunderstorms and strong winds will continue for the next 7 days. There is a possibility of dust storm at many places on May 31. A hailstorm alert has been issued especially in eastern Rajasthan. Winds can reach speeds of up to 80 kilometers per hour.

Rain and hailstorm in Uttarakhand

The weather has become pleasant in Uttarakhand due to western disturbance. There is an alert of rain today in districts like Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar, Chamoli, Pithoragarh. Hail may also fall in some areas. There is also a possibility of strong winds along with thunder and lightning.
