According to Karnataka Congress Working President GC Chandrashekhar, the swearing-in ceremony of DK Shivakumar will be held at 3.30 pm in the Glass House of Lok Bhavan. Karnataka Congress had earlier decided to hold Shivakumar’s swearing-in program at Vidhana Soudha and invite 15 to 20,000 people, but the party says that DK Shivakumar asked to conduct the oath-taking in a normal manner in view of inflation and other issues. Sources said that the astrologer has advised DK Shivakumar to take oath on June 3 at 4.05 pm. Earlier, when the Congress high command had given the green signal to Shivkumar to become the CM of Karnataka, then astrologer Bellur Dwarkanath had said while talking to the media that he had already told Shivkumar that one day he would become the CM. The astrologer has also claimed that DK Shivakumar will remain the CM of Karnataka for a long time. Assembly elections are to be held in Karnataka in 2028. Earlier, Congress had formed the government with a thumping majority by securing 135 seats in the 2023 Karnataka Assembly elections, ousting the BJP-JDS alliance from power. At that time DK Shivakumar was the President of Karnataka Congress. At that time it was believed that Shivakumar would be made the CM of Karnataka. Shivakumar’s brother DK Suresh and his supporters put a lot of pressure on the Congress high command for this, but Siddaramaiah once again got a chance to become the CM of Karnataka. Since the completion of two and a half years of Siddaramaiah government, there has been continuous speculation that now DK Shivakumar will be made the CM. People close to Shivakumar also continuously claimed that their leader was going to become the CM, but the opportunity came when the Siddaramaiah government completed three years.
